About the Role

We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented Generalist Writer to join our fully remote team on a part-time basis (20 hrs/week). This role spans a broad range of writing formats including blog posts, articles, marketing copy, email campaigns, and proofreading, making it an ideal fit for a creative professional who thrives on variety and takes pride in purposeful, well-crafted content.

Responsibilities

  • Research, draft, and publish high-quality content across formats including blog posts, articles, white papers, email campaigns, and social media copy.
  • Proofread and copy-edit deliverables from internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring consistency in tone, grammar, voice, and style.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and subject-matter experts to translate complex ideas into accessible, compelling narratives.
  • Develop and update brand voice guidelines, editorial style guides, and content standards for the organization.
  • Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to maximize content discoverability and organic reach.
  • Manage multiple concurrent writing projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Contribute creative input on content strategy, suggesting angles, formats, and approaches that strengthen the overall content output.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio of diverse writing samples spanning content marketing, copywriting, and editorial work across different tones and formats.
  • A degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional writing experience.
  • Exceptional command of English grammar, style, and mechanics with a sharp eye for detail and consistency.
  • Proficiency with collaborative tools such as Google Docs, Notion, or Confluence, and familiarity with at least one CMS platform such as WordPress or Webflow.
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals and experience with tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Search Console.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to quickly absorb unfamiliar subject matter and communicate it clearly to the intended audience.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills with a proven ability to work independently and reliably in a fully remote environment.
