Huayou has established a comprehensive industrial ecosystem covering the entire value chain of new energy battery materials. From resource development to material manufacturing, from battery production to recycling, our five business sectors work in harmony to deliver sustainable, high-quality solutions for the global electric vehicle revolution.
Our New Material Industry division represents the pinnacle of battery technology innovation. We manufacture high-performance ternary precursors (NCM/NCA), lithium cobalt oxide (LCO), and advanced cathode materials that power everything from consumer electronics to electric vehicles. With state-of-the-art facilities in Quzhou, Chengdu, and Tianjin, we produce over 150,000 tons of cathode materials annually. Our Chengdu B&M facility achieved a historic milestone in 2022 by becoming the world's first carbon-neutral cathode material plant, certified under PAS 2060 standards.

The New Energy Industry sector focuses on complete battery solutions, from cell manufacturing to integrated energy storage systems. We partner with leading automakers and energy companies to deliver cutting-edge battery packs and storage solutions. Our facilities leverage our vertically integrated supply chain to ensure quality, consistency, and competitive pricing. With growing demand for grid-scale energy storage and residential solutions, this division is positioned for exponential growth in the North American market.

Our Indonesia operations represent a strategic investment in securing high-grade nickel resources essential for next-generation EV batteries. Located in the resource-rich Sulawesi region, we operate High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) facilities that produce battery-grade nickel sulfate and mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP). In partnership with PT Vale Indonesia and Ford Motor Company, we are developing one of the most advanced and sustainable nickel processing facilities in the world, with 80% lower carbon emissions compared to traditional pyrometallurgical methods.

Since 2006, our Africa Resource Industry division has operated mining and processing facilities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, one of the world's richest sources of cobalt. Through our subsidiary Congo DongFang International Mining (CDM), we maintain a comprehensive supply chain from mine to refined product. We are committed to responsible sourcing, having joined the Fair Cobalt Alliance and implemented rigorous traceability systems. Our operations in Zimbabwe focus on lithium mining, providing another critical input for battery production.

Our Recycling Industry represents the future of sustainable battery production. Through advanced hydrometallurgical processes, we recover over 98% of valuable materials from end-of-life batteries, including lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese. With processing capacity exceeding 65,000 tons of waste batteries annually, we are creating a true circular economy for battery materials. Our recycling operations in Quzhou and Nanjing convert battery waste back into battery-grade materials, dramatically reducing the need for virgin material extraction while minimizing environmental impact.

Our US expansion brings these five integrated business sectors closer to American automakers and battery manufacturers. By establishing localized operations, we are:
Reducing lead times and logistics costs through domestic production and just-in-time delivery
Providing reliable, consistent access to critical battery materials independent of global disruptions
Building high-tech manufacturing facilities that employ American workers and support local communities
Collaborating with US research institutions and customers to develop next-generation battery technologies
